Object

The WaP project “Work and Progress” is a 3-storey timber structure office building above a covered car park with reinforced concrete flat slab-columns.

Specific features

The wooden structure is a mixed system combining glulam columns, steel profile beams, floors and walls in crosslaminated CLT and prefabricated roof boxes. The geometrical complexity of the building has led to the development of technical solutions : the suspense of overhangs up to 4 m to reinforced glulam boxes, a ‘trusses columns” running along the stair, a “virendeel” mixed beam CLT-steel with a span of 22.5 m, assemblies with epoxy resin, etc.
